About Smile Tiger Coffee Roasters

Smile Tiger Coffee Roasters opened their doors in April of 2016. Part cafe and roastery, beans are roasted every Wednesday by Hannah Boehm, Head Roaster. Cupping events are also held at their 100 Ahrens St. West, Kitchener location.

Smile Tiger roasts their own beans in house. They have a roasting laboratory setup just behind the brewing bar where the roasting process takes place and where perspective wholesale coffee customers may experience a tour of the product and decide which bean and roast best suits their needs. Looking within the lab, there is a smooth workflow and there is no shortage of equipment to sample the coffee as it is roasted. A La Marazocco GS3 espresso machine and a Mahlkonig EK 43 espresso grinder are a few of the big hitters in the roasting lab.
